Tonight I saw the most hauntingly beautiful, shivers down your spine ad I’ve seen this year. What’s more it wasn’t even a proper ad, it was a Channel 4 trail for their ‘Disarming Britain’ season which starts next week.

Lasting nearly four minutes, it shows gangs of youngsters aged between about 16 and 25 in various disputes, from inter-gang arguments to robbing a man of his bicycle. Each situation ends with someone holding their fingers in a ‘gun’ shape and ’shooting’ someone else. Despite just using their fingers, their victim falls back in a realistically gory manner. The most disturbing involves a young lad shooting his own father.

Anyway, watch it for yourself – it really is worth a look.
