Last week I posted a review of Nokia’s new Vine service. While I was impressed by the concept and the its look and feel, I was disappointed with its lack of decent sharing capabilities. The Vine website makes it difficult to tell your Vines apart from those of other user. Sharing your Vines (once you find them) isn’t easy either.
It turns out, though, that there’s a simple fix! Log into the Nokia Sports Tracker website and you’ll find that all the journeys you’ve recorded on Vine have been imported! You can see everything that you can on Vine but it’s much easier to sort through all your journeys on the Sports Tracker site. Because it’s Sports Tracker you also get distance, speed and time information for your journey if you need it.
Sharing is easy too – each journey has an easily identifiable URL. It’s just a shame it calls it a “Workout”! Still, it’s better than nothing and works as a stopgap until Nokia improve the web interface of Vine.
