Hi, I’m Martin Bryant and I’m based in Manchester, UK.  I work in a school running their TV and radio stations and creating online video and audio content.  When I’m not doing that I make music as The Star Fighter Pilot.  I’m also an ‘early adopter’ of technology and love trying out the latest web services.

I’m involved in the organisation of Manchester’s Social Media Cafe events and my other blog, Manchester Buses, won ‘Best Community Blog’ in the 2008 Manchester Blog Awards.  This blog was shortlisted in the ‘Best New Blog’ category.

14sandwiches is where I write about whatever’s on my mind, be that technology, music, the media or anything in between (I reserve the right to rip up the rulebook from time-to-time and write about something totally different).

Why 14sandwiches?

It was the name of a music review site I wrote when I was a student.  I can’t remember why I named it that, although people assumed I was fat due to eating 14 sandwiches.  I’m neither fat nor have I eaten 14 sandwiches in one sitting.  It just seemed like a good name to ressurrect!
